Some of these benefits are that it can be very lightweight (this is when we use chalk as the aggregate, rather than sand) it's flexible and more resistant to cracking than other materials. Another benefit is that it's "breathable" which means it is vapour permeable, which is of the utmost importance, especially with timber framed properties.
